Rye, Brie, Raspberry Appetizer

Brie is a smooth, creamy cheese, combined with another couple of simple ingredients you get a decadent sophisticated flavor combination that will please your palate. This yummy appetizer recipe is nice because it takes just minutes to create.



  • 1 loaf rye cocktail bread (miniature, pre-sliced, often in deli section)
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 -8 ounce package Brie cheese, quartered and then slice the quarters 4xs
  • Raspberry preserves


Preheat oven 300 degrees. Place individual slices of rye bread on a cooking sheet.  Place a piece of brie on each slice. Place a basil leaf or two on each. Place in oven for three to five minutes, until cheese melts. Remove from oven and top each with a 1/2 teaspoon dollop of raspberry preserves. Serve warm.
